Dragons from Enceladus is a modern fantasy tale, that takes you from the gritty New York City streets, to a realm of wicked sorcerers, space cruisers, and broken hearted Dragons.

Dragons from Enceladus eBook Enrique Carrion

I'm gonna try to keep this review based strictly on the story. So with that said here goes:
Dragons From Enceladus is an interesting read. I really enjoyed the love story. I was kind of surprised that it was actually more of a love story than anything. My first impression was that it was gonna be an urban star wars type story. And since I'm totally not into stars wars I was kind of iffy on this book but I took my chances and I'm glad I did. Rocky and Kali are easily likeable and believable characters. Their relationship is, in my opinion, a true testament to young urban love. They're young city kids who are in love and aren't afraid to show it or do what it takes to keep their love from being torn apart. I liked how the author kept the dialogue true to the characters' personalities and their neighborhood.
The imaginative scenery that the author creates is mystical, magical, fantastical and made me wanna be a guest at the Enceladus. The song performed during the dinner show made me want to boo hoo. The alien characters, Lyssa and Nydeaus were enjoyable as well. I would love to see their Dragon forms visualized in some kind of graphic novel version of this book.
Overall, I enjoyed the book. I would recommend it to anyone who likes fantasy, Sci fi, romance, sword fights, and NYC imagery.
My only gripes with the book are that I wish there was more character building. I wanted to know more about Kali and Rocky and I felt at times that the story moved too fast like it jumped from one thing to the next at some points.

Dragons from Enceladus eBook Enrique Carrion Reviews

The world building was well thought out. The fantastical elements were well blended with the urban elements. A world I would definitely like to visit again!
This book takes you on quite the unicorn ride from hood to fantasy & you never want to get off! The only caveat preventing a 5 star rating is I would have liked more chapters on Harlem before entering a parallel universe. Needless to say... It was quite entertaining! My boo thinks the author had "captivating characters" ) If you have a vivid imagination this book is for you (I read it in a couple hours).
